Sort rather than waste

Every year, tonnes of rubbish accumulate and harm our planet, especially when we know that a good third of this waste is not recycled… Hence the importance of adopting certain reflexes. Zero waste and selective sorting are approaches that aim to minimise the production of waste on a daily basis by limiting the consumption of disposable products and adopting more sustainable consumption practices.

How can you sort efficiently and adopt zero waste?

To adopt zero waste:

  • As a structure, equip yourself to reduce waste, for example by investing in reusable cups or a water cooler to limit the use of plastic bottles;
  • Rethink office lunches, for example by trying vegetarian restaurants or bringing your own lunch to the office;
  • Eat ethically and in a balanced way, preferring local, seasonal and organic food, and reduce your meat consumption as much as possible.

A few selective sorting reflexes to adopt:

  • Think first about saving money, for example by reducing your paper consumption, reusing it and then recycling it;
  • Sort your waste by installing containers on your premises and assigning them to waste depots according to the sorting system in force in your locality;
  • Recover food waste by composting it;
  • Communicate so that selective sorting becomes a collective reflex within your structure, providing clear information with signs and posters to make it easier to understand the sorting instructions.
